In 2021, I purchased the 128-acre Tirikohua Point Farm - 'TP Farm'. At the time, I owned the neighbouring two properties: the 25.7 acre House of Parihoa and 554 acre Tabletop Farm. Adding TP Farm to this collection gave 711 acres of West Coast seaside properties, known as Parihoa Farm. As I simplify my life, all three properties are offered for sale, separately or as a whole.
TP Farm sits high on cliffs looking over the Tasman Sea and captures the heavenly sunsets of the West Coast that constantly make your jaw drop. The views across Muriwai Beach are exquisite, underrated, and world-class, with Auckland a 40-minute car ride away.
It's crowned with a beautiful country-style homestead, which we have renovated, and the already exquisite gardens have been transformed by adding extra features. In 2022, we added a world-class wellbeing pavilion with accommodation for guests. Of greatest enjoyment has been the addition of our mesmerising glass 'star-gazing cabin'.
The farmland has beautiful contours, including high plains, low valleys and wetlands. The land lends itself to exploration, glamping and also, of course, farming. According to our Farm Manager, it can hold 200 sheep, 30 cattle, or a combination of both!
TP lends itself to private or commercial activities or a mixture of both. Our guests all attest to it being somewhere they have had that inflection point on life, which speaks for itself.
Acclaimed New Zealand architect Fearon Hay has done a concept plan for a signature house of the standard of my neighbouring home, the House of Parihoa. This home would incorporate stunning rural views with protection from the weather elements. If I were keeping TP Farm, I could see the next decade's potential. With discipline and imagination, it could rival the "wow" of my two neighbouring properties. Moreover, that is the beauty of TP Farm - enjoy as is or drive forth with your ultimate vision.
