With family connections spanning seven generations, knowledge about Banks Peninsula is, and has been, a long-time passion. “Coming from this close-knit Canterbury Community and farming on my own account for over 30 years, I know how important rural properties are to their owners. As the negotiator, you need to be completely determined to do right by both parties at all time”.

With over 18 years’ experience in real estate behind him, Evan’s experience and sensible approach are the cornerstones to his success. In his role as rural real estate sales consultant with Bayleys Canterbury, Evan works across the full range of rural properties, including dairy farms, sheep and beef farms, dry stock, grazing property, lifestyle and bareland blocks. Evan’s ability to bring a vendor and purchaser together and achieve a successful sale for both parties, is what truly gets him excited about the rural real estate market.

Since becoming associated with Ben Turner and setting up a team environment, Evan’s real estate business is thriving under the Bayleys banner, and the marketing opportunities that the brand offers. “But it doesn’t stop at the brand – it’s the camaraderie and the breadth of combined industry knowledge that the team shares that is most valuable”.

In his spare time, Evan takes part in fundraising initiatives within his local community and assists with local under-age cricket and rugby teams. Evan has a great love of the outdoors and sport, particularly rugby, cricket, golf and salmon fishing.
