Taipoi Forest is a 486 hectare forest located in Tinui Valley of the Wairarapa region. Taipoi Forest has a net stocked area of 415 hectares comprising Radiata pine established between 2012 and 2015.
Taipoi Forest is accessed off Tinui Pakowai Road approximately 58km's north west of Masterton. There are a number of forests in the Tinui Valley which ensures there is quality roading suitable for logging trucks leading right to the entrance of the forest. Taipoi Forest is second rotation and therefore has well maintained roading throughout. There is plenty of metal on site significantly reducing the cost of any future road maintenance.
With the forest being mid rotation it is likely to be harvested during a period when there is a low volume of timber being harvested in New Zealand.
