This 180 hectare (more or less) Manuka and Native block is located 24 kilometres up the Waitotara Valley Road. The block is currently registered in the Emissions Trading Scheme, with predicted returns of between 877 to 969 units annually over the next 10 years, this registration will transfer to the new owner.
There is potentially a site available for a hunters cabin, or house, with power lines within the proposed title, making it convenient for setting up a comfortable base for hunting trips, or as a get-away retreat, just an easy 20 minute drive up the Waitotara Valley.
Currently the block is utilised for: Carbon farming, light cattle grazing, hunting and a bit of manuka honey production.
The main ridge can be accessed by ATV’s, making it an ideal location for weekend hunting adventures.
Wildlife in the area includes: Ducks, feral goats, fallow deer and pigs. Awaiting final survey, with an estimated area of about 180 hectares.
