Welcome to Caesar Road, where the early start opportunities will have you dreaming about gold... kiwifruit that is.

This stand alone kiwifruit orchard offers 1.76ha G3, Sungold (licensed for 1.8ha) and 2.65ha of Haywood Green, giving a total canopy area of 4.41ha. Adjacent to the orchard is a further approximately 4.6ha of bare land, that is ideal for future kiwifruit development or to diversify the crops and spread the workload throughout the year. Total area on the title is 11.2ha. The orchard holds a current "A class" water consent. Majority of the orchard and the adjacent paddock is Waipaoa Silt Loam, a free draining and highly productive soil, as evidenced by the kiwifruit production history.

The orchard has been an outstanding performer when it comes to packouts and income for both the G3 and Green. The orchard has a proven track record for early start premiums with 2024 cementing that even further. It has proven time and time again to produce good quality fruit and with that, return an average OGR per hectare of $190,286 over the 6 year period from 2017 - 2022, with its highest OGR per hectare being $244,148 for the Sungold G3. The Green has also done extremely well with an average of $94,724 OGR per hectare over the same 6 year period, and its highest year being $129,545 OGR per hectare.

Originally planted with Bruno rootstock and established in 1980 with the first grafting of green done in 1981. This was initially set up on T bars and then in 2007, it was all converted over to Agbeam pergola to increase production and bring it inline with modern day standards. In 2010 the first block of Sungold (G3) was grafted across with the following block getting done in 2013 once it had shown that it was well suited for the new variety. The final graftings took place in 2013. In 2023 the first of the Bounty rootstock was planted to start replacing the Bruno. These have been grafted with G3 and are growing well.
