This is a really lovely well maintained and comfortable sea side property perfect for permanent living or as a lock up and leave get away bach. Kaiaua is really on the map as a great little fishing village and has a friendly community!
From a covered porch the main entrance leads into a spacious lounge with lots of light and a heat pump. There are three bedrooms and a modern kitchen and bathroom in this character cottage which has been much loved for many years by the current owners. Reluctantly they have decided it’s now time to let someone else enjoy.
Over time the kitchen has been very tastefully modernised with up to date appliances and lots of cupboards and workspaces. It has been very cleverly incorporated into the sunroom so it enjoys a delightful breakfast bar and serves as extended dining and family area with access to the deck and the back garden. The bathroom has been modernised with shower, vanity and toilet and looks great with the natural light and new flooring.
The quarter acre section has double access with one leading to a concrete driveway to a single garage with a laundry and an additional toilet. The other allows access to the very large 9x6 m shed/garage at the back of the property. There is room here for two cars plus kayaks, fishing gear and all the other things you are bound to need at the beach. Room also, on the large section, to park a camper or bigger boat. The easy care, fully fenced gardens and flat lawns are lovely and create loads of space for the kids to play. A few mature peach and other fruit trees give shade and yummy Summer delights.
Lovely families and retirees live nearby giving a great mixture and diverse community.
Situated on a quiet road with the famous Pink Shop nearby it’s an easy walk to the beach front to sit and enjoy a picnic and watch the world go by!
The village boasts a garage with full mechanic workshop, two shops, a community Library and village hall plus a pub with family restaurant. The local Kaiaua Primary school is a few minutes down the road and a local bus service to the very well thought of Hauraki Plains College means this is a wonderful place to move your family to.
Kaiaua has an active local boating club with plenty of fishing competitions and Sunday markets are fun through the Summer.
Bustling Pukekohe is about 49km away and Thames is 45km in the opposite direction.
