This week, New Zealand's real estate auction market showed a slight rise in stability, with a reduction in the number of listings but a slight increase in the clearance rate.

A total of 215 properties were up for auction this week, with auction results collected for 173 properties. Out of these, 75 were successfully sold, 97 were passed in, and the clearance rate reached 43%. Compared to last week, the number of properties for auction decreased by 16 (about 6.9%); the number of successful auctions increased by 6 (an increase of about 8.7%); and the clearance rate rose by 3 percentage points, indicating a slight increase in market activity.

There were slight differences in performance across regions, with the Auckland East area showing the most significant increase in the clearance rate:

- The clearance rate in Auckland East increased by 28 percentage points to 64%;
- Auckland North Shore saw a slight increase of 1 percentage point to 39%;
- Auckland Central's clearance rate rose by 1 percentage point to 42%;
- Auckland South increased by 1 percentage point to 45%.

Auckland West experienced a decline in the clearance rate, dropping by 5 percentage points to 38%, and this area's market changes require continued attention.

In terms of pricing, the mainstream transaction range this week was $500,000 to $1,000,000, with 18 properties sold in this range, representing a significant proportion.

The highest sale price this week was for a property at 1/3 Katui Street, Castor Bay, which sold for $3.375 million.

The median sales price for houses this week slightly rose to $1,100,000, and the average sales price increased to $1,144,400, reflecting an increase in demand for mid-to-high-end properties, with market interest concentrating on higher-priced properties. (Data is for reference only)
