Definitely, one of my favourite railway cottages, perched at the top of the rise on Ruapehu Road with stunning views of Mt. Ruapehu and the peak of Mt. Taranaki when you watch the sunset in the west. Just perfect and so well looked after both inside and out.
The interior decor suits the cottage so well and is so inviting when you walk into the kitchen from the rear. The kitchen/dining area is warmed by a fab pot belly stove, in working order, and on a wetback. A very cozy space to sit and chat, perhaps while delicious cooking smells waft through the room. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom with a separate toilet, a delightful lounge with a wood burner, and a front door taking you out to the deck. WOW, what a deck! It wraps around three sides of the house, has built-in seating and outdoor dining areas at both the front and the rear, it is huge and takes advantage of the views from every aspect. What an amazing addition to this gorgeous cottage.
