Scott Jarrett

Scott considers himself lucky that he gets to do something that he enjoys as his work.  He has been in the real estate industry since 1995 and much of his work is derived from repeat business, something Scott is very proud of and he comments, "do right by people and they come back."

Scott was born and bred in Whakatane, a true local.  He knows the streets in Whakatane that as a teenager he could row a canoe up and down on before the flood protection system was constructed to protect areas of Whakatane.  Scott offers a sound local knowledge indeed.

Today he serves as a District Councillor on the Whakatane District Council, with 2013 being the begining of his third three year term on Council.   In each election he has polled in the top three proving that a lot of folk do and can trust real estate agents!

Scott is Chairman of Arts Whakatane (the local Arts Council) and each year that organisation brings together all the events that make up the Summer Arts Festival.  His passion is musical theatre and he was recently presented a Merit Award from Musical Theatre NZ acknowledging his more than twenty years participation with theatre.  Scott enjoys singing and has performed in many productions, the role of Jean Valjean in the 2001 Rotorua production of "Les Miserables" being a highlight.  He is on the committee of Theatre Whakatane and has directed plays and musicals.
