Melanie is a current resident and real estate investor in the Mission Heights subdivision of Flat Bush, having called the Eastern Suburbs home for more than 20 years following her family's immigration from the Philippines in the 1990's. Shortly after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (accounting major) from the University of Auckland, Melanie moved to the United States to pursue an 8-year banking career, specializing in commercial real estate loans. Melanie began her professional career in the United States with an internship with JP Morgan and eventually became an Asset/Portfolio Manager Vice President with a Minneapolis-based company managing a commercial real estate loan portfolio of over $1 Billion (USD), of which Melanie directly managed over $200 million (USD).
