Ike Unsworth

When Ike took up the reins as a Bayleys lifestyle and country specialist, his career took a new direction. Very personable and approachable, Ike brings to the table his background in the farming, equestrian and agriculture industries. A busy family man, the former New Zealand representative show jumper, who was raised in the Bay of Plenty, comes from farming stock. The Unsworths have farmed in the district since 1915 and their name is well known in rural circles. With the family owning farms and property in the Bay of Plenty, East Coast and South Island, Ike already had a good understanding of the ins and outs of the real estate industry prior to gaining formal certification as a salesperson.

Prior to real estate Ike managed an agricultural contracting and manufacturing company in the eastern Bay of Plenty. Ike's background also includes farm management and vast equine experience, both with race horses and show jumpers. During his competitive years as a show jumper in the 2000’s Ike rode extensively in New Zealand and internationally, including Europe and North America. He continues to ride and is involved in horse breeding.

Ike has tenacity, grit and grassroots rural involvement, all of which stand him in good stead with his role in country and lifestyle sales.
