Following his education at Christchurch Boys’ High School, he completed his Honours Degree in Geography at the University of Canterbury. Garry then started his career in London, before returning to New Zealand to teach at Ashburton College. Garry found this role beneficial in developing his proficient people skills. “I spent three and a half years working in a role that required patience, honesty, and enthusiasm, I enjoyed it immensely”. Garry then worked as a Police Constable for six years, walking the beat of Christchurch City before joining a dedicated investigation team, which led to him becoming experienced in negotiation, networking and public relations. “In the police I learned valuable life lessons”.
