Colin Gilbert

Colin Gilbert has lived in Ashburton since 1956 and is married to local girl, Gil. He has three married children: Two sons, Brent and David, both living in Queenstown, and a daughter, Suzanne, living in Auckland.

During his time in Ashburton, Colin has been extensively involved in playing, coaching and administering rugby. He spent 19 years on the Mid Canterbury Rugby Union, including three years as chairperson. His sporting interests these days are playing squash and fishing, and he enjoys being a rugby and cricket spectator. Colin’s real estate career began in 1975 and he has been with the company in Mid Canterbury since 1990, selling urban, commercial, lifestyle and farm properties. Having spent most of his life living and working in the Mid Canterbury area, this has provided him with a great knowledge of the district, the people and the local property market.
