Wildon Dairy has a total area of approximately, 278ha.

Spray irrigation encompasses 260ha, more or less, of the milking platform via four variable rate centre pivot irrigators (210ha) with fixed grid over approximately 50ha. Irrigation is supplied by Omakau Area Irrigation together with considerable private water rights, complimented by on-farm storage.

Soils are predominantly Patearoa and Manuherikia deep silt/clay loams, Clyde and Flaxton shallow slit loams, with flat contour fully cultivatable.

The property is boarded by roads on its perimeter giving effortless access to the laneway system. A well-formed central laneway links all 34 main paddocks with the dairy shed, with a stock underpass and a new bridge have been developed to provide access across Racecourse Road and Thomson’s Creek.

High-producing rye / clover pastures were established across the total effective area of the property during the conversion in 2017, with a continuing annual regressing program.
