The Waipupuke sub-division is a new greenfields 56 ha development in Drury West. The Private Plan Change (PC61) was approved by Auckland Council and became operative on 8th July 2022. The Neighbourhood Centre will include extensive medical facilities including a General Practice/A&E and a specialist centre. It will also include various retail outlets such as a superette, liquor shop, food outlet, gym, café and a planned hotel. The Waipupuke development will create an exciting opportunity to fulfil the dreams

and aspirations of residents many of whom will be first-home buyers. The development will have modern infrastructure and services, supported by upgraded transport, including rail facilities, fibre network, potable water and wastewater systems.

Government has recently announced its commitment and investment in two nearby rail stations - Drury West and Drury Central that will service Waipupuke. Waipupuke will provide superior amenities with extensive public places including walkways, parks and public amenities. Ministry of Education (MOE) has acquired land to build a college on Jesmond Rd which is in walking distance from Waipupuke. Ngakoroa Primary School (Now Open) is also a very short distance from Waipupuke.
