Hia Hia itself has a multitude of great views with several housing sites. The main site has already been levelled.
Hia Hia has over 600 established olive trees, several areas of bush with secret glades, fruit trees, tea tree mature trees and natives (kauri etc.). It has river boundary with Oruaiti River, making whitebait for dinner a real possibility.
Looking over its small lake that children in their boats and dogs have so much fun in!
There is a lite weight portable 9 x 3 dwelling (does not need a permit) and an enclosed kennel-run.
The dwelling consists of a separate bedroom, combined kitchen / lounge, a door separates the utilities, steps front and back, a deck where the owners had many a BBQ and behind a shed that holds the generator and califont etc.
Adjacent to the dwelling is a levelled site for extended family's tents. Or could easily accommodate another lite weight home.
Hia Hia is situated a short 10 minute drive from the historic Mangonui township, with all its attractions, jetty's etc. There is also a golf course nearby. It's beautifully situated approximately an hour's drive to both Kerikeri and Kaitaia.
A must see if you are looking to rejuvenate your soul with peace and quiet but close enough to be involved in this wonderful part of the country.
