The Reserve occupies 130 hectares of land north of Long Bay at Okura, at the very top of Auckland's North Shore. It's a site with a stunning coastal outlook over the Long Bay-Okura Marine Reserve, alongside the Okura Estuary. Close by lie the bush-clad hills of Okura Scenic Reserve.
Unspoilt and idyllic, this is the last of the best of Auckland.
Yet it's just a 10-minute drive to the State Highway 1 on-ramp at Oteha Valley Road. Also close by is the village centre of Long Bay, with a convenient selection of shops, a supermarket, cafés and facilities.
