The Waipupuke sub-division is a new greenfields 56 ha development in Drury West. The Private Plan Change (PC61) was approved by Auckland Council and became operative on 8th July 2022. The Neighbourhood Centre will include extensive medical facilities including a General Practice/A&E and a specialist centre. Government has recently announced its commitment and investment in two nearby rail stations - Drury West and Drury Central that will service Waipupuke. Ministry of Education (MOE) has acquired land to build a college on Jesmond Rd which is in walking distance from Waipupuke.
