Steven Matthews

Steven brings a wealth of International business experience to Link.
With a 25 year background in the Logistics and Transportation industry (15 of them owning and running his own companies) Steven is well placed to assist clients in achieving their ambitions for both the purchase and sale of businesses.
During the past 15 years Steven founded and managed a niche logistics company that chartered Russian Cargo planes for clients in the Oil and Gas Industry before he successfully sold it in 2007.
In conjunction with the above Steven also co-owned and managed for 10 years a successful aviation procurement business, providing logistical and procurement support to a fleet of Boeing passenger aircraft . He was instrumental in the negotiation and purchase of various multi million dollar aircraft.
Steven has a wealth of experience in contract negotiation and has worked in some of the most demanding environments throughout Russia and Africa in addition to holding Management positions in the USA, Middle East and Western Europe.
During the Dotcom boom Steven , founded a unique Internet logistics business which was successfully sold after 6 months to an organisation which promoted it as a flagship company for a £58m float on the UK AIM stock exchange.
Steven also has experience in the Tourism sector from owning and operating his own Chalet in the French Alps.
Steven is a keen sportsman who played semi-pro Rugby in the UK, he has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys a multitude of sports including cycling, kayaking, and tramping.
A very proud family man who is married with two girls aged 7 and 4.
Steven has for the past 2 years been a volunteer with Age Concern in Tauranga.
