Eric Wu来自台湾，于1997年来到新西兰，在汉密尔顿就读高中。2000年，他从汉密尔顿搬到奥克兰，并就读于奥克兰大学，并获得理学学士学位。

Eric之前经营了一家小餐馆，两年后转行进入一家投资公司担任货币专家，负责全球货币交易。他本来可以继续待在办公室享受惬意的工作和生活，但是不断挑战自我的性格让他再一次改行，投入到更具挑战性的房地产市场。
