The Tasman region is known for its boutique wineries, arts and crafts community and offers a range of activities from fishing, hiking and mountain biking. Nelson Lakes and the golden sands of Kaiteriteri Beach are all within an hour's drive.

Stonefly Lodge is upscaled, off-grid living at its finest. The whole complex is powered entirely by solar energy and the water is sourced from an on-site spring. The surrounding Valhalla Forest (registered with the NZ Emissions Trading Scheme) provides plenty of wood to keep the home warm and cozy as well as offering additional income in the future. The property also provides an established orchard, vegetable and flower garden, ducks, chickens, beehives and a family of alpacas to manage the vegetation.
