Tim Holdgate

In joining New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty in 2017, Tim brings a wealth of rural knowledge and experience, with in excess of thirty years involved in the rural sector. Tim is a Registered Valuer, holds full membership status with The New Zealand Institute of Primary Sector Management and has held several local community leadership positions, including being a trustee on the Harbour Sport Trust since 2011. Tim graduated from Lincoln University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Agricultural Commerce, majoring in valuation and farm management. He joined the Rural Bank in Palmerston North, moving with the bank to Auckland, then on to Warkworth in 1996, where he now lives at Matakana with his wife and family, on a 20-hectare lifestyle property. With some thirty years rural financial lending experience, Tim joined a Warkworth valuation firm as a Registered Valuer in 2013, before joining Bayleys early 2016, to continue his passion for real estate. Rodney and Kaipara Districts continue to provide for a diversity of land use, accentuated by the rapidly expanding environs of Auckland City to the north. The more recently proposed Auckland City Unitary Plan supposedly provides for a more diverse, managed change of land use, but such has also enhanced the value of and demand for land north to the city. Tim’s extensive valuation background and knowledge of rural land and rural land use must be an invaluable resource for any prospective vendor or purchaser of real estate in the Rodney & Kaipara Districts. Tim has committed himself and his family to life in the country. His principles of integrity, honesty and factual disclosure are a real strength, as is his pleasant, outgoing personality and thoughtful level of communication.
