Shona McMillan

I have been helping the lovely people of Dunedin to buy and sell properties since arriving in Dunedin in January 2007. After four years in Wanaka and previous to that twenty plus years in Auckland, my working career has spanned several industries and decades.

In Central Otago I was part of the management team which set up the spa and resort complex at Oakridge Pool and Spa Resort.  I also managed the volunteers for the Upper Clutha Women's Support Group while becoming involved in the local social services volunteer network; the area in which I had attained my degree. In Auckland I had previously run my own business including importing software; magazine publishing; farming deer and chinchillas; and operating a massage and sauna business in downtown Auckland. My previous and varied employment has covered areas of tax assessment with IRD; garden centre management with Palmers Gardenworld; customer services and warehouse management for human health with Scianz and Bayer; business telemarketing for American Express; staff recruitment, rostering and training new recruits; accounts and budget reporting; function, wedding and conference organisation; hospitality sales; plus general sales and marketing.  

With roles in such varied industries comes diverse experience which bridges the gap in building relationships for marketing and selling what is usually the biggest asset most people will acquire. I have personally purchased and renovated several properties and have been both a landlord and a tenant.
