Peter Mellow

Peter Mellow is one of our Rural Real Estate marketing specialists.

Peter brings a wealth of experience to our busy Rural Real Estate team with skills acquired in a wide variety of rural sector roles.

Having spent many years dairy farming in the Waihi and Paeroa area, as well as locally at Tauwhare and Kaipaki, he has a solid hands on background to draw upon.

Peter also found time to diversify into the agricultural services sector.

In addition to eight years with Dalgety’s as a Stock agent and senior auctioneer, Peter spent a further seven and a half years with the now, PGG Wrightson in their Dairy Stud Stock division.

Further Livestock experience was also gained during a year spent with Austrex, in the live stock export industry, exporting dairy stock from Australia to China, Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Peter has served on the board of the Ayrshire Breeders Association, including being a certified T.O.P. inspector and has been a judge at New Zealand Royal Agricultural Shows.

Beyond his clearly extensive experience in the farming and livestock sector, Peter also possesses a level of commercial acumen that enables him to provide rural property owners with sound advice from an all important business perspective.

Peters wide rural experience, combined with his skills in marketing and negotiation, have seen him fast become a valuable member of our already successful George Boyes, LJ Hooker Rural Real Estate team
