Mike Jensen

Mike is a graduate from Massey University in Palmerston North and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) with a double major in Valuation and Property Management and also a Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) majoring in Marketing.

After leaving University Mike worked for Harcourts Valuations in Auckland where he obtained his Valuation Registration and also became an associate member of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (AREINZ).

Mike then formed his own valuation practice, Regal Shadbolt Jensen Ltd, where he traded for the next 3 years. This business was sold to Telfer Young Valuations in Auckland when Mike decided to leave the Valuation profession. During this Valuation career Mike undertook a full range of Valuation work including market, mortgage and insurance valuations and rent reviews. Mike then proceeded to work as a Commercial Mortgage Broker for Dorchester Capital in Auckland which he worked at for the next 12 years and completed property based transactions well into the hundreds of millions. During this period Mike managed a portfolio of high net worth individuals and obtained a strong knowledge of all financial products including first and second mortgages, construction and development finance and liaised extensively with valuers, architects, bankers and lawyers.

Mike then decided for a further change and joined the Real Estate industry. During his first 12 months he was named “Rookie of the Year” in 2009 and for the past two years has been the number one salesperson for the Auckland City Commercial Office.
