Maureen Hennessy

Maureen was first introduced to New Zealand in 2001 when she embarked on a three-month solo cycle tour around both the North and South Islands. “To this day” she says “the stunning scenery and welcoming locals mark some of the best memories of my life.” Originally from Monterey Bay along the Californian coast, the beautiful landscapes and rugged coastlines of New Zealand immediately felt like a second home and Maureen knew she would be back to live here. And so it was that in 2006, just 5 years after her cycling adventure, this dream became a reality and, for her, New Zealand has been home ever since.

After spending seven windy years in Wellington, Maureen and her husband decided it was time for sunnier skies and a lifestyle shift. She swapped her career in the outdoor apparel industry for kiwifruit and they headed to Tauranga, where they put down roots on a small lifestyle block in Paengaroa.

Having had an interest in real estate for many years, Maureen decided the time was right for her to commit herself to the necessary study and to complete all the prerequisite qualifications for an agent’s license. She and her husband enjoy a strong affinity with the area in which they now live and Maureen feels very fortunate to be able to be active in the industry “in the beautiful and vibrant Bay of Plenty.”

Maureen possesses a delightfully warm and transparent personality. On her downtime, you’ll find Maureen cycling with friends around the rural roads in the Bay and of course stopping at the local cafés to replenish!
