Director, Sales Manager and Auctioneer, Mat Andrews, opened the Bayleys Wanaka office in 2002.

The Bayleys office has blossomed alongside Wanaka’s expansion in population growth, property demand and increase in commercial stake-holdings; the increased commerce of the region providing the real estate market with a great deal of strength and prosperity. 

Throughout its varying real estate cycles, Wanaka has proven to be hugely resilient.  Alongside this growth, Mat and the team at Bayleys Wanaka have become well-established and well-respected leaders in residential, rural and commercial property.  The office was singled out across the nation in 2019, at the Real Estate Institute awards, as the top small residential office, along with wins in top salespeople categories.

Boasting a stellar career that spans 20 years in the Wanaka region, Mat’s focus is now on passing the baton and forging a strong, capable and committed team.

Born and bred in Central Otago, Mat takes full advantage of the Upper Clutha Lakes paradise he has called home for two decades.  Walking the stunning tracks of the Southern Alps and cycling along the lakeside, Mat says, “I can’t think of a better place in the world to live!”
