Twenty eight years ago Maria Admiraal made an unusual career decision for a young person. She chose real estate.  She has never regretted it.  Until taking a recent four year break she has spent most of her entire working life in the industry as a sales person and in management.

Maria started selling real estate in Tauranga in 1986 and after eight years as a successful salesperson became the youngest real estate office manager in the Bay of Plenty.  Her management career spanned 14 years and involved setting up one real estate office from scratch. Her offices consistently won achievement awards.

Maria returns to real estate refreshed and revitalized and keen to reactivate the many contacts she has built up over her career, and to employ local and industry knowledge accumulated over the years.  

Changes but Stays the Same
Maria points out that despite the advances the industry has experienced – from cell phones to I phones, dramatically increased methods of marketing, mainly due to internet technology - the things that really matter have not changed at all.

Communication and Open Dialogue is even more important when there is so much information available. “Honesty and transparency is very important, being able to sift through all the ‘chatter’ out there and establish what really matters,” says Maria.

Face the Facts in deciding the best course of action. “Each seller and buyer has a unique situation which I take the trouble to understand.  Motivation, goals, financial position, family circumstances, can all affect the way people sell and buy. I like to gather the facts so I can help my clients make informed decisions before they rush into buying or selling.”

Market Experience Counts.  Many years working in the Tauranga and Mount Maunganui/Papamoa market has equipped Maria with knowledge and experience which will benefit her vendors and purchasers.

Personal and Professional
Maria is an outgoing outdoor person who loves the water and the snow – stand up paddle boarding, skiing, and taking advantage of the wonderful coastal environment we live in. “ I love this region, appreciate how fortunate I am to live here, and get huge satisfaction out of ensuring others in my personal and professional life enjoy it as much.”  She has attended regular courses and taking every opportunity to educate herself to ensure her knowledge and service level stayed high. Maria has belonged to many local business groups including the Chamber of Commerce, Team Local and served a term as vice president of Tauranga Club.
