Liz Hamilton

Liz Hamilton is the new accounts manager for the iconic Ray White Sue Douglas Group and based at the Karaka branch, and it’s her perfect match.

At an early age, Liz decided she would have a career in accounts and spent two decades honing her trade. At the tender age of 16, she joined a growing international shipping and freight company as an entry-level receptionist. Before long Liz transitioned to the accounts department, taking responsibility for many of the day-to-day accounts processes within the company. After six years, the company asked the 22-year- old to relocate to Wellington to open a new branch, a sure endorsement of her capabilities. Although the opportunity was the highlight of Liz’s early career, a family bereavement pulled her back to Auckland for a time, then overseas in various administrative roles.

Returning home, Liz continued with temping contracts, taking the opportunity to learn more about the processes and structure of business within various industries. In 2004, she once again demonstrated her aptitude for business - by starting her own. Specialising in accounts and administration for small businesses, Liz ran the successful entrepreneurship for 14 years. During this time, she also displayed an impressive talent for acquiring and applying new skills; with diversification into graphic and website design and social media marketing.

In 2017, Liz sought a new challenge with a better work-life balance. After working part-time with a prominent salesperson at RW Papakura, she discovered that the property industry was an excellent fit for her structured, efficient and forward-thinking personality. When the full-time position of accounts manager for Ray White Sue Douglas Group became available a year later, Liz was able to transfer her skills and increase her hours. Furthermore, she could do so with a company renowned for its supportive, team-oriented environment; she says her role is a reincarnation of the happiest time in her professional career.

Liz calls herself a 'homebody' and loves nothing more than to enjoy the established gardens and century-old trees which surround their newly renovated home. If she and her husband, Wayne, do get lured from the property, it’s usually to socialise with family and friends. Now and
then, however, the pair can be found enjoying the faster side of life at the V8 motorsports.
