Lachie Ashton first joined the company in 1996 as a real estate salesperson for the East Otago area while also leasing a grazing property near Palmerston.
Since then, Lachie has sold rural, lifestyle, residential and commercial property in Queenstown and Australia. He is a fully qualified real estate agent and has worked as a branch manager. He is also an Associate of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand.
Lachie has an extensive farming background growing up on a run property at Waitahuna and has worked on a wide mix of South Island farms, runs and high country stations as a casual musterer, contract fencer, farm worker, head shepherd and farm manager.
In 2003, he purchased a 2141ha grazing property in Northern NSW and experienced the worst drought in Australian history, returning to New Zealand in 2007.
Outside of farming and real estate, Lachie has many interests including multi-sport, athletics, rugby, horses and e-commerce, and likes to go camping, tramping and mountain biking with the family.
