Josh Andersen

Born in Wellington, Josh has spent his career working within sales and construction, starting out by establishing his own contracting firm before being asked to join his family business in sales for STOANZ, the Australasian branch of a global company that sells construction systems worldwide. Josh was allocated to Hawke’s Bay, alongside other regions, where he was soon recognised for his ability to quickly gain a strong rapport with clients, his negotiation prowess, and for doing all in his power to ensure his regions became highly profitable locations for the company.

Following this success, Josh was approached to head up sales in Australia, based in Sydney, where he formed relations with Australia’s leading architectural firms, landing flagship projects such as the UTS building Thomas Street ($120 million build), Perth Airport expansion, Darling Harbour’s event centre refurbishment and the Hall/Gould Street Bondi apartments.

Taking the opportunity to once again go out on his own, Josh departed from STOANZ to head up his own firm in Sydney, ‘Rendercon’. Backed by nothing but his enthusiasm, knowledge and influence that he had acquired from presentations and follow through when pitching to these major architectural firms, Josh decided to tender and pitch against the other major contenders in the industry and was awarded many projects that he successfully delivered on time, and to the satisfaction and appraise of his clients.

With a longing to return to New Zealand to be closer to family and start a life with his fiancé, Josh left Australia in 2017 to pursue, once again, a role in sales, however this time in real estate where he commenced his property career in Wellington. Making the move to the beautiful Hawke’s Bay for its lifestyle and abundant opportunity, Josh is excited to join New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty, focusing on homes in the mid to high-end of the real estate market, where he can fully express his appreciation and knowledge of property while utilising his skills in negotiation, eye for detail and understanding of business.

Throughout his life so far, Josh has learnt a deep emotional empathy for what those around him are wanting and needing, which he prides himself on. Well-travelled, Josh spent his last year of tuition in Argentina, played rugby for a year in California, and has toured around Europe, which has left Josh with an embracing acceptance of people of all walks of life. As a result, he is able to adapt to almost any situation whilst delivering service beyond repute, energy unrivalled, and a warm-hearted approach that is intrinsic in his nature.
