中介简介

Born and bred on a sheep farm, Geoff McBride entered the dairy industry in 1970 working on a dairy farm and then in 1972 he trained as an AI technician. After working as an AI technician in the Christchurch area, Geoff married Felicity and began dairy farming as a sharemilker in 1974 and achieved farm ownership in 1978. Whilst heavily involved in ‘hands on’ farming, Geoff became a director of the Kaikoura Dairy Company and a director of Livestock Improvement. In 1986 Geoff left Kaikoura to build a boat in which his brother competed in the BOC single handed ‘Round the World’ yacht race, whilst continuing to own the farm with a sharemilker in place until 1989, when the farm was sold. Geoff became involved in real estate in 1988 by setting up shareholding partnerships and shortly after joined Whalan Real Estate Limited as a salesperson, becoming a shareholder in the company in 1997. Specialising in dairy and dairy conversions through the big expansion in the mid-1990s, Geoff gained a reputation for his technical and farm management knowledge which assisted many new entrants to the Canterbury dairy scene. He acted as the exclusive agent for listed farmer, Tasman Agriculture for the sale of their North and Central Canterbury dairy farms. Geoff is actively involved in the sale of all types of farms including the sale of some of the South Island's best known high country stations, as well as lifestyle blocks. Since the merger between Whalan Real Estate and Bayleys in March 2002, Geoff has sold over $500 million worth of real estate Geoff and Felicity have three children and three grandchildren. Geoff's interests include skiing, hunting, tramping and road and mountain biking. Geoff works within a team alongside Ben Turner and they are supported and assisted by a highly efficient team consisting of Bruce Appleby, Mike Adamson and Judy Sparks. Bruce has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from Lincoln College, a background in farm ownership and nineteen years of experience in rural real estate marketing. Mike also has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from Lincoln College, plus an expansive previous career as a farm consultant and marketer before he joined Bayleys as a salesperson, Judy is based at the office and has several years’ of experience in the administration and marketing of rural real estate.
