PERSONAL PROFILE -FAYE PARFITT

If you are about to sell your home - your highest value asset - there are many things to consider when choosing an Agent to work for you. It’s a major decision and it is important that you understand what your options are, and feel comfortable with the Company and person you employ.

In September 2009 after 22 years selling Residential and Lifestyle property as a Representative of a large company, I set up in business as an Independent Real Estate Agent, trading as Faye Parfitt Real Estate. I had become very aware of the trend Overseas of the people’s preference for ‘boutique’ or Independent Real Estate Agencies.

Over the years I’ve learned a lot about efficiency and what works best in unpredictable and changing property markets, and I dedicate myself to being well informed in the legal processes of Real Estate, and the requirements of the Real Estate Agents Authority. I am Chair of the Canterbury Realty Network which is a network of 19 Independent Real Estate Companies operating in and around Christchurch, providing experienced Licensees and a broad coverage of all markets, so there is very little difference in the services and functions that I, as an Independant offer,  to that offered by the larger franchise or group Companies.

As an Independent, I direct the relationship between Client and Agent on a personal and individual basis- without the limitations of corporate business models and company protocols. This also means that I can pass on reduced costs to my Clients.

In my ‘other-life’ I am a Trustee of Lincoln Envirotown Trust, a member of the Halswell Residents Association, and presently I am an appointed member of the CERA Community Forum, set up by Government Statute to address community issues since the seismic events in the region. I was priviliged to receive a Community Service Award in 2013.

Much of the business I undertake is now from referrals, which speaks for itself, and confirms that the people who have employed me in the past have been satisfied with my services.
