It would have to be how you are constantly meeting and talking to new people which attracted me to real estate. The family atmosphere of Barfoot & Thompson, together with encouraging and helpful branch managers made the choice of company easy for me.

For most of my working life, I have worked in sales and customer service in a variety of industries, one of my favourite roles being Sponsorship Manager for the NZ Breakers. Pretty cool!

I have bought and sold a few houses, used my DIY skills to finish off a new build and I am very good at staging a property in preparation for sale.

Auckland is such a vibrant and diverse city where you can be surfing in the morning, have morning tea at the viaduct, dinner at Long Bay and still be home in time to put the kids to bed. My family and I are looking forward to making Ellerslie our home later this year. Its central location, great access to the motorways and the beautiful leafy streets create a village atmosphere which is hard to find in the suburbs these days.

My family is my inspiration to achieve the goals that I set myself. I love to cook and bake which keeps them happy, that's my wife, my two boys, aged three and six months, as well as my 29-year-old daughter.

I am particularly proud of an award that I received for Salesperson of the Year from Canon NZ in 2006, for reaching 172% of target.

I am a member of the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club where I love to go game fishing, I support local schools and always support the Scouts and Girl Guides.

A personal philosophy of mine, "Be kind, be honest and be good to everyone. Trust is given at the start and only lost through your own failure" goes a long way to building steadfast relationships with clients.
