Today Chris heads the office he joined as a business broker in 1996 - a then independent brokerage company founded in 1984. Prior careers are in banking services - primarily investment/insurance, corporate marketing of building products, premium capital equipment sales – in civil engineering/forestry/construction sectors, and trade engineering in the manufacturing/materials handling sector.

Since acquisition in 2002 Chris has overseen more than 400 business transactions with a cumulative market value of over $120m covering a multitude of industries, negotiations, and contract terms.

Chris has a strong belief in self-determination and personal accountability, and sees this as a fundamental commitment for all business owners to make. Added into this outlook are his “tools of trade” - accumulated professional qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and insights acquired from diverse business environments.

Chris manages his team in a hands-on style. Ensuring that the firm delivers great service requires operations to be well resourced. Prime resource is a great broker team. Chris is focused on engaging qualified and experienced people. Competencies are set around valuation/appraisal-backed pricing, innovative marketing, complete understanding, qualifying buyers, professional documentation, high levels of communication, the provision of prudent advice and when called upon – problem solving abilities.

Away from the office Chris enjoys family life, travel and motorcycling including racing – well until the leathers shrunk! Would like to travel more and ride more – but time can be a precious commodity when you are a business owner!
