Bill has a broad base of experience from the corporate sector, principally in marketing associated roles.

He worked with McConnell Dowell Constructors (NZ) Ltd as Assistant to the Joint Managing Directors. In this capacity Bill was involved in a consortium of New Zealand engineering, construction and agricultural companies marketing New Zealand expertise to Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

As Development and Marketing Manager for C. Itoh and Co NZ Ltd, a major international Japanese Trading Company, his role was that of a top level negotiator. One task in this role was in connection with the Maui Oil Field development, where Bill lead a Japanese consortium consisting of petroleum engineers, ship builders, and steel mill engineers plus Brown and Root from Houston, Texas (world class off shore oil platforms and submarine pipeline specialists) in lengthy negotiations with the owners of the Maui field, The New Zealand Government and Shell-BP-Todd.

Bill was involved as the on-site manager in a horticultural and farming development developing kiwifruit orchards from bare land together with a supporting shelter belt and root-stock nursery. The farm also ran sheep, cattle, and deer captured from the bush.

For the last 23 years Bill has been involved in the real estate industry.
Committed to providing his clients with the best possible service, he completed the Graduate Diploma in Business Studies –Real Estate at Massey University.
Bill was awarded the REINZ prize for achieving Top Student for this Diploma Course in 2002.

In today’s market place, Bill believes there is an absolute requirement for professionalism. You as a client, whether as a vendor, developer, investor or home, business, or farm buyer, should demand the real estate people you employ have experience and skills and knowledge of planning, permit requirements, design, construction techniques and marketing.

Bill and his wife Sheryll now live in Kawerau. They enjoy reading, entertaining, doing up homes and fishing. They have three adult sons, two daughters in law and three grandchildren.
