Ben works in the commercial market in both a sales and leasing capacity.
Previously Ben worked for two years at The Property Group where he was involved in land acquisition and disposal. During that period he was involved in some large projects including the Residential Red Zone takeup working closely with CERA and also the Johns Road/Russley Road Four Laning for NZTA. Ben also worked on the Northern Arterial and Southern Motorway where he disposed of property through the Public Works Act. The skills gained were based around reporting and communication. There was constant negotiation with landowners using the Crowns valuation as basis for any initial discussion. The Public Works Act aims to leave the landowner in no better no worse position before the works began. Therefore, as a Crown agent Ben’s job was to establish those relationships and begin negotiations with the landowner for both full and partial acquisitions.
Ben’s experience and skill set in this role were invaluable as they transfer into Real Estate Sales. Ben’s approach is around listening to his client’s needs and providing a tailored solution to their individual requirements. Ben has gained a Degree in Sales and Marketing and also a Graduate Diploma in Property Valuation from Lincoln University. Ben is passionate about Christchurch having grown up here and is committed to the long term rebuild and all that it entails. He sees it as a wonderful opportunity to be involved in such an exciting industry and is particularly interested in the growth of the Central Business District and the outlining living zone areas.
