Andre Van Rheede

Born in Mpumalanga in South Africa (on the border of the Kruger National Park), Andre grew up on his family tobacco farm, and finished school where he went on to study a National Diploma in Auto Electrical and Auto Air Con. He opened his first business in 1989, and grew from strength to strength. He then married in 1990 and moved towns where he purchased an auto electrical business as a partner. In this time, he bought a successful auto electrical franchise with two outlets. He then bought his partner out in 1996, and never looked back. Andre enjoys golf – and became very involved in his local golf club, where he ran as Captain and President. A passion for community involvement saw Andre join the Round Table, attending regular meetings and being involved in many projects over the years as a Tabler. Andre sold the business and immigrated to New Zealand in 2010 with his wife, Michelle and children, Brendon and Nicole. Andre first resided in Ashburton, working as an auto electrician while he and his family settled. He was also involved in Rotary. With school leaving children – the family decided to move to Christchurch in order to be closer to the children while fulfilling their educational dreams. Having owned his own business, Andre knows that listening to the clients’ needs and providing them with the best service is of utmost importance. Andre will specialise residential and life style properties.
