Meet Alan Broadbent

To many people the name Broadbent is synonymous with Real Estate in the north. In 1965 Alan’s father established the family real estate company in Kerikeri, later expanding the business to include offices from Kaitaia to Helensville.

Alan worked with his father as a salesperson in Kerikeri from 1973, later being joined by his two brothers. He spent time in both Kaitaia and Whangarei offices, then in 1997 in Kerikeri he was instrumental in establishing the Bay of Islands branch of Thomson Bagley Realty Ltd which in the late 90’s became part of the Bayleys franchise. From 2005 to 2012 Alan was resident in Houhora which enabled him to use his wealth of experience over a wide field; he was able to continue his association with commercial and industrial property throughout the north, while focusing locally on the full range of residential, horticultural/avocado and other rural activity in this fast developing area. Since his return to the Bay of Islands, Alan has enjoyed renewing his acquaintance with all sectors of activity in this area, while still continuing his involvement with rural real estate further north.

For Alan, the focus has always been to facilitate a successful result for all parties involved in a transaction, and he will give his total attention to achieving this goal. He is often thanked for his diligence in keeping all parties fully informed of progress during any real estate activity and for his honest and straightforward approach.

For anyone who is a newcomer to the Bay of Islands, Alan has a great depth of property knowledge and anecdotes which he loves to share.
