After six years away from Christchurch, including teaching in Taiwan and working in Wellington, I made the decision to move home and begin what I believe will be a successful career in real estate. I’d be lying if I said the thought of switching careers hasn’t been daunting at all, but I’d also be lying if I said the transition hasn’t been smooth.

Choosing Burwood and Parklands as my preferred area to work in was a simple decision. I’ve lived here, been to school here and even worked here. I love being down at the beach in the summer and having Bottle Lake Forest and its running tracks right on the doorstep. I’m also really excited about the developments occurring in the community; the addition of Shirley Boys High and Avonside Girls alongside the new recreation and sports centre will do wonders for the area with further growth on the way which will no doubt add further incentive to living here.
